Love is Suicide

I drew up this thing a little while after the monet thing. If anything, it proved an effective muse, i think. I don't really know where the idea for this came from, just popped into my head one day and I put it down. The male figure formed suprisingly quicky for me, usually I have to draw a body three or four times before I get the porportions right. The swords are a little uneven though, and I played around with it alot until i just thought it was enough. I may go back and add on some details.
The title isn't supposed to be angsty and macabre. A friend of mine made up the line. Its supposed to mean that when you love something or someone, you have to give up yourself to love them fully, and thus, love is suicide, an ultimate sacrifice. I thought it was kinda appropiate here. The guy who thought it up wanted to use the line as a tattoo, but he saw my drawing and decided instead to use this. Amusing how things work out.

Also, there's a feather laying in the foreground, which was an allusion to the angelic theme, but its rather hard to see.
